Serving voluntarily for over 20 years as deputy and acting head of the Yoav Regional Council.
After his release from Nahal, he was an educator for about a decade.
As a kibbutz member, Sela worked to strengthen Sde Yoav, as responsible for the kibbutz farm. As part of his position, he managed and designed the economic policy of the kibbutz economy.
He continued his business career as the CEO of Hami Yoav, and as part of his work he significantly expanded the company's activities, significantly increased the number of visitors and brought Hami Yoav to the national consciousness as a first-rate tourist and health center. cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Sela began his journey in the world of classical music as the director of the Israel Sinfonietta in Beer Sheva, a position he held for 12 years. Sela prevented the closure of the Sinfonietta, and managed to bring it to significant achievements. He stabilized and strengthened the orchestra's financial infrastructure, and opened a broad horizon that led the Sinfonietta to new and significant achievements in the variety of lively musical activities it maintains in Israel and abroad to this day.
Sela doubled the number of subscribers of the Israel Sinfonietta in Beer Sheva, bringing them to over 3,500 subscribers.
As an educator, Sela worked to expand the activities of the Sinfonietta among the younger generation, in order to assimilate the cultural values and encourage the younger generation for musical education. As part of these activities, he founded a variety of musical programs starting from early childhood, through primary and secondary schools, and up to higher education institutions. Among Sela's significant achievements, it is worth noting the opening of the "Knowing the Orchestra" course that he founded together with Ben Gurion University and the colleges of the area.
In addition to his educational activities, Sela worked for society and founded musical programs of the Sinfonietta among the community for the cultural well-being of the residents of the area in all its aspects.

As of August 2017, Sela is the CEO of the Rishon LeZion Israel Symphony Orchestra.
Just as during his managerial career he brought the variety of bodies he worked in to new areas, the blossoming buds of the orchestra can already be felt. The first significant move that he initiated and led in his first year in office, was the appointment of Maestro Dan Ettinger to the position of musical director of the orchestra, that parallel to his musical management of the Israeli Opera. In doing so, Sela created a precedent in the world of classical music in Israel and applied the popular model in the world's largest opera houses in practice in Israel as well. This move  will strengthen the position of the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra as a symphony orchestra with a global reputation.
In addition, Sela continues his educational and public path in the form of social and community projects and ventures starting with the local education system of Rishon Lezion, through musical collaborations with the "welfare boys" in the city, as well as encouraging classical music education and promoting its place and virtues in society._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_
